The first 25 turbines at Seriti Green’s Ummbila Emoyeni Wind Farm in Mpumalanga have officially entered into commercial operation. Creamer Media’s Terence Creamer was at the site.
The black-owned company has plans to grow its renewables and storage footprint, through a mix of wind, solar and batteries, from the current 155 MW to about 900 MW over the coming years.

Creamer Media’s Terence Creamer spoke to Seriti Green CEO Peter Venn about these growth ambitions at the company’s new operations centre in Bethal, during a visit by President Cyril Ramaphosa to mark the start of operations.
Venn kicks of the discussion by explaining the background to the project and outlining what is still in store.
